Form I-9: What’s Changed

New revisions to the employment eligibility form became effective on Jan. 31, 2020. The form is dated Oct. 21, 2019 but is not mandatory for employers until April 30, 2020. Always check the date at the top of the form to make sure you’re using the current version.

The changes that are new to the form are minor and only visible when completing the electronic form. The new form has no changes from the former version of the paper form.
